Junior Project Manager

Description

Edburgh is looking for a project manager to strengthen the Head Quarters team in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The project manager will work with several consortium partners of Edburgh consultants to develop and implement projects.

The project manager is working daily on several opportunities as well as managing the implementation of contracts awarded to Edburgh. Moreover, he/she maintains direct contacts with Edburgh's clients, experts and business partners.

Tasks

Project Management of various projects (research, evaluations, institutional development), for clients such as the EU (DEVCO), World Bank, ADB and Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For the European Commission (EC) in the area of Human Rights, Democracy and Peace (Lot 3) & Human Development and Safety Net (Lot 4);

Overseeing project implementation, including budget monitoring and M&E;

Identification of potential new business and preparation of project proposals and methodologies;

Compiling reports and final briefings

Recording, analysing and initiating the realization of opportunities received as per various Framework contracts;

Qualifications

Relevant academic degree in human recourses development, international development, or other relevant education

Good analytical skills to understand and analyse assignment requirements (terms of references)

1-3 years experiences with human resource management in an international context

1-3 years’ experience in working with search engines and various online dBase systems

Some years’ experience in working with formalized evaluation grids to asses’ competencies of experts

Full understanding of “word” to realise layout for CVs, reports.

Above average understanding of Excel including working with formulae to prepare budgets;

Ability and affinity to work within highly regulated EU project approaches

Affinity with development cooperation in the social sectors

Good communication and time management skills

Being able to perform under tight deadlines

Fluent in English, both written and oral. Knowledge of another language (Dutch, French, Spanish or Arabic) will be an asset.

Ability to work with several online applications
