The Education Sector Development Programme (ESDP) represents a significant step forward for the education sector since it advances a comprehensive approach to improve access to and quality of basic, adult, general, and technical and vocational education. The implementation of the ESDP will contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals as envisaged in the long term strategic goal, including poverty reduction and equitable participation in development by disadvantaged groups.
The purposes of the Mid term Evaluation are as follows:
•    Conduct one mid-term review and one external monitoring mission
•    Conduct one end of term evaluation
•    Strengthen the project monitoring capacity within the Ministry of Education
