Description:

The purpose of this European Commission (EC) University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) programme is to assist UTech to produce professional, technical and managerial graduates in order to increase the pool of skilled and qualified labour in the Caribbean. Specific objectives:

•    Assess the results of the programme, as well as the activities at country and Regional level.
•    Evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of activities carried out, as well as their relevance in respect to the programme’s main objectives.
•    Evaluate the likely contribution of the equipment not yet purchased to the programme objectives and consider if there are better alternatives.
•    Review the overall programme organisation and management in terms of its efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability (including the selection of persons to be trained and the courses chosen).
•    Look at the actual and potential contribution of the programme to Regional integration.
•    Measure the level of programme appreciation by the beneficiaries.
•    Look at the visibility of the programme, in particular the visibility given to the European Commission as the donor
