Tunisia is confronted with a double problem: on the one hand is a the number of students is growing very fast, and on the other hand there are increasingly rare resources. The increase envisaged in the number of students at the universities during next years will pose great challenges: the system of higher education institutions should find ways to deal with this increase of students without losing quality. This is essential to improve the competitiveness of Tunisia with Europe end neighboring countries. The improvement of the quality of the Tunisian higher education system is one of the strategic choices of the country for the education sector. It is in this specific context that the Ministry for the Higher education, with the support of the European Commission, requested for technical aid in order to set up and develop a system of indicators for the quality of the higher education sector: quality of management, quality of the services offered, institutional environmental quality, quality of the programs, etc
